There has been a shop/bar on this site for longer than anyone remembers.
The two story home and public bar was restored By Michael McCathy in around 1905 selling food and providing refreshments for those traveling
this majestic headland of the
Sheep's Head Peninsular.

Over the last 8 years, Mick Eile has opened The White House to visitors from all over the world each year.
From the beginning of April until the end of September walkers and day trippers can enjoy lots of fine fresh local grown food for lunch
